P4 million worth of ‘shabu’ seized in Capiz; 1 ‘high value’ suspect nabbed — PNP
MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics officers in Roxas City, Capiz, have detained a high-value drug figure, resulting in the seizure of P4 million worth of crystal meth, colloquially known as “shabu.”
In a statement Wednesday, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Dionardo Carlos identified the high-value suspect as Aureo Amane, known more as “Au RAV4,” 58 years old.
He said Amane was arrested by police authorities after an anti-drug operation in Barangay 11, Roxas City, Capiz at around 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday.
Recovered from the suspect were 13 pieces of transparent plastic bags and three pieces of transparent plastic sachets containing over 600 grams of white substances suspected to be shabu. It is estimated to be worth P4,080,000.
The suspect is now currently detained at the Roxas City Police Station custodial facility for proper disposition.
