LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte—This province recorded Tuesday zero COVID-19 cases.

Data from the provincial government showed that at least six of its towns —Adams, Burgos, Dumalneg, Nueva Era, Marcos, and Paoay—were COVID-19-free.

The province has 125 active cases, representing 0.02 percent of the province’s population, the local government said.

At least three were admitted to hospital facilities, of which one was asymptomatic or mild, while the other two were moderate cases.

All COVID-19 indicators–bed occupancy rate, oxygen equipment, and drug consumption rate–were within the safe level, the same data showed.

Since the pandemic struck, the province has logged at least 24,828 COVID-19 cases.
