Forum on lives of migrant women

A PUBLIC forum on the Lives of Migrant Women will be held on March 9, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., at the UP Cebu conference hall in Lahug, Cebu City.

Dr. Caridad Tharan, dean of the College of Migration, Humanitarian and Migration Studies of Miriam College, will be the resource speaker.

Invited panelists include Dr. Rosario Ballescas of Toyo University in Japan, Dr. Weena Jade Gera of the UP Cebu Political Science Program and Wilfreda Misterio, regional director Overseas Workers Welfare Administration in Central Visayas.

The forum is organized by Sidlak Gender Resource Center in Central Visayas and the University of the Philippines Cebu Gender and Development (GAD) office, in cooperation with the UP Alumni Association Cebu Chapter, will sponsor.
