3 vans loaded with shabu intercepted in Quezon
LUCENA CITY––Government forces intercepted on March 15 at least three vans loaded with shabu (crystal meth) in Infanta town in Quezon province.
Lt. Col. Joel Villanueva, Quezon police chief, said operatives from the National Bureau of Investigations, police, and the military, intercepted at around 4 a. m. the three vehicles loaded with illegal drugs in a police checkpoint in Barangay Comon.
“It’s a big catch,” Villanueva said in a phone interview Tuesday morning.
He did not provide details on the operation and the volume of the seized meth.
Infanta Vice Mayor LA Ruanto said 10 persons aboard the vans were arrested.
Ruanto said on his Facebook page that the intercepted shabu weighed more than one ton.
