SM Foundation Inc., with the participation of Kapwa Ko Mahal Ko Foundation Inc., will hold a free medical and dental mission on March 14 and 15.
Dubbed “Gamot para sa Kapwa,” this year’s activity headed by SM Foundation executive director Connie Angeles aims to benefit 1,500 people, including senior citizens, from the different barangays in Cebu City.
The Department of Social Welfare and Services (DSWS) in Cebu City identified the barangays with high incidence of communicable diseases as beneficiaries of the program.
The Cebu City Medical Center, Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, Cebu Medical Society and the Cebu City Health Department will provide doctors and nurses for the medical and dental mission, while the Philippine National Red Cross will provide volunteers.
Services include medical checkup and treatment, dental checkup and treatment, blood pressure checkup, bloodtyping, blood sugar testing and monitoring and height and weight checkup.
SM Foundation will also give free medicines to the patients.
The medical and dental mission is scheduled on March 14 for the general public and March 15 for the senior citizens and Filipino war veterans.
It will be held at SM City Cebu old v-hire terminal from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
