Isko Moreno campaigns in Sorsogon in 3-day tour of Bicol
SORSOGON CITY, SORSOGON, Philippines — Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Monday mounted a campaign to woo voters in Vice President Leni Robredo’s stronghold in the Bicol Region, telling residents here it was time for fresh blood in Malacañang.
On the second day of his three-day tour of Bicol, the Aksyon Demokratiko standard-bearer tried to play up his personal connection to Bicolandia, pointing out that his wife, businesswoman Diana Lynn Ditan, hailed from Sorsogon, and thus making him “almost a Bicolano.”
“You can adopt me already,” the 47-year-old former actor said at a packed stadium, where his supporters assembled after a heavy downpour forced them to relocate from an open-air park fronting the provincial capitol.
“We need to multiply if we want to become victorious. We need to become a million-strong because it’s our future we are talking about,” he said.
