MANILA, Philippines — The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned the public not to use the Genefinder COVID-19 AG self-test being sold in some stores because it has not undergone the requisite government certification.
“Since this uncertified COVID-19 test kit has not gone through the evaluation process of the FDA, the agency cannot assure its quality and safety,” the FDA said in an advisory over the weekend.
