Fire razes 6 houses in Quezon town
LUCENA CITY – At least six houses were burned down in Mauban town in Quezon province by a fire that broke out on Saturday afternoon (March 12), police reported Sunday.
Quezon police said the blaze, which started around 2 p.m. and lasted for about 45 minutes in Barangay (village) Daungan, originated from the wooden house of a certain Serela Unlayao and spread to neighboring five houses made of light materials. No casualties or serious injuries were reported.
Firemen were still conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the blaze.
Authorities placed the cost of the damaged properties at P500,000.
The fire victims which were temporarily settled at the government evacuation center in Barangay Soledad.
