LUCENA CITY – A motorcycle driver and his pillion rider died following a hit-and-run incident in along Maharlika Highway in Tiaong, Quezon Saturday night.
The Quezon police reported that motorcycle driver Jeffrey Manalo, 31, and his pillion rider, Gina Henobe, 39, were rammed by a vehicle coming from the opposite direction at around 8 p.m. in Barangay (village) Lumingon.
Manalo and Henobe died on the spot due to serious injuries. Police did not say whether or not the victims were wearing crash helmet for protection.
The driver of the vehicle sped off after the incident, the report said.
