CEBU CITY––The Cebu City Police Office’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit is checking the city’s courthouse after receiving a bomb threat on Wednesday afternoon.
Capt. Renz Talosig, the chief of the Mabolo Police Station, said some employees at the Qimonda IT Center, which houses the Cebu City trial courts, received text messages and a phone call around 1:30 p.m. regarding seven explosive devices allegedly set up at the building.
“We’re currently inspecting the entire building to find out if there are explosives here,” he said.
As of 3 p.m., authorities have yet to find a bomb inside the building.
