LUCENA CITY––Police arrested seven alleged big-time illegal drug peddlers and seized more than P648,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in three separate operations on Tuesday and Wednesday in Rizal and Cavite provinces.
Collared at 2:45 a.m. on Wednesday were Sabino Pinca and Jeneboy Villar, after selling a pack of shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay San Juan in Cainta, Rizal, the Calabarzon police reported.
The suspect yielded nine sachets of shabu weighing 30 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P204,000. Also confiscated was a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.
In Taytay town in Rizal, anti-narcotics agents arrested Asgar Bongcarawan, Ryan Escraela, and Noel Casiber in another buy-bust operation in Barangay Muzon on Tuesday.
Authorities confiscated 13 sachets of crystal meth from the suspects weighing 40 grams worth P272,000 in the street market. Police also seized a motorcycle used by the suspects.
In Dasmariñas City in Cavite, police nabbed Mansawi Maranget and Liza Escopete in a drug sting around 8:40 p.m. in Barangay Sta. Lucia.
Three sachets of shabu weighing 25 grams worth P172,500 were found in the suspects.
The police are investigating the suspects’ source of the illegal drugs.
All suspects were detained and to be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
