Former Public Works Secretary Mark Villar has recently launched his own YouTube channel where he plans to share tidbits about his life, hobbies, works, and interests.
In the first video on his eponymous channel, he shared several throwback pictures of his family and titled the entry as “My Trip Down Memory Lane.” In the video, he shared a little background story of personal pictures.
“Samahan ninyo akong magbalik-tanaw sa ilan sa pinaka masasayang moments sa buhay ko — kasama ang Villar family, ang aking asawang si Em at anak na si Emma,” Villar said.
One of the photos he shared was with his father, former Senate President Manny Villar and brother Paolo Villar. He recalled a lesson taught by the elder Villar: “‘Pag nag fail ka, wag ka ma stress masyado, move forward and that’s one of the lessons na tinuro niya sa akin at sa kuya ko.”
“People have known me as a Secretary of Public Works and Highways. I’ve been on Instagram, Facebook, News, etc. for quite some time but I don’t think I’ve shared much of who I really am as a son, brother, husband, and a father,” Villar said.
Villar stated that he will use the channel as an avenue to let his followers know him better through his moments with his family, adulting experiences, food trips, his favorites, artistic creations and his daily living.
“I’m challenging myself to do something different— something that I have never done before, which is why I have finally decided to get on YouTube. YouTube is a great platform for me to connect with people and hopefully inspire them. This will be a closer look as to who I am away from the spotlight. This is it. I’m ready to reintroduce myself,” Villar said.
