OLONGAPO CITY — The City Health Office (CHO) announced Tuesday, March 8, that it would now allow “walk-ins” for its pediatric COVID-19 vaccination as the local government continues its mass inoculation against the viral disease.

Parents or guardians of 5- to 11-year-old children are still required to register their kids online but do not have to wait for a schedule when going to the vaccine site.

The pediatric vaccination is held at the SMX Convention Center at SM Olongapo Central.

CHO said 500 children in the 5-11 age group would be accommodated at the site.

The local government continues to vaccinate 12- to 17-year olds at the SMX Convention Center and adults not yet vaccinated or need booster shots.

Olongapo has recently achieved herd immunity against COVID-19 after fully vaccinating over 182,000 people.
