MANILA, Philippines—The Pasay City Regional Trial Court Branch 112 on Monday allowed former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to attend the funeral mass for Representative Ignacio Arroyo on Friday.

Negros Occidental Representative Ignacio “Iggy” Arroyo Jr.

Pasay RTC Branch 112 legal researcher Felda Domingo told reporters that Mrs. Arroyo, now Pampanga Representative, will be leaving Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) at 7:30 in the morning to attend the 10am mass at La Vista.

“The Judge agreed only on the Friday funeral mass. As soon as the body of Congressman Iggy Arroyo [leaves] La Vista, she will be brought back to VMMC,” Domingo said.

Rep. Arroyo is currently under hospital arrest at VMMC for allegations of manipulating the result of the 2007 elections.
