3 persons face charges for girl’s death

CHARGES of rape with homicide will be filed against the three persons who were accused of raping and killing a 17-year-old deaf-mute in Lapu-Lapu City.

Elgie Misa, 18; Reynaldo Limpangong, 21; and Fiel Pinote, 19, were identified by a witness as the ones who raped and killed Cherame Gitgano last Saturday night.

Police said another suspect identified as Julius de Guzman remains at large.

SPO1 Jack Inahao, investigator of the Investigation and Detection Management Branch of the Lapu-Lapu City police, said the charges could be filed either tomorrow or on Monday since today is considered a holiday in Lapu-Lapu City, which is having its Charter Day celebration.
