The Archdiocese of Manila has provided a portal on its newly revamped website that would allow the Catholic faithful from across the globe to send in their donations for the Church’s charity programs.

Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Tagle has tapped Union Bank to provide assistance in its online fund-raising activities, according to Peachy Yamsuan, head of the Archdiocese of Manila’s Office of Communications.

At the launch, Tagle urged the faithful to help spread the “good news” and promote the website to the world.

“Let us spread the good virus and spread it to the whole world. Start clicking!” Tagle said after leading the ceremonial login to the website on Saturday in Paco, Manila.

The website, www.rcam.org, was first launched in 2005 mainly as a source of information about the archdiocese. Since then, the website has also been used as a means of communicating among its parishioners.

It includes online as well as mobile payment channels, real-time donation reporting, and a check disbursement system. Jocelyn R. Uy
