Olongapo City lifts curfew under Alert Level 1

OLONGAPO CITY — The local government on Tuesday (March 1) further eased its COVID-19 restrictions under its new and lower COVID-19 alert status, an official said.

Part of the relaxed curbs was the lifting of the curfew from 12 midnight to 4 a.m., said Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. in a statement.

Paulino said businesses could now operate during these hours.

The city was already placed under the most lenient alert level 1 from March 1 to 15 due to its declining number of COVID-19 cases.

As of Monday, the city’s active COVID-19 cases stood at 22 with no new infections that day.

It has recorded a total of 6,970 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the pandemic struck in 2020 with 6,602 recoveries.
