Man, son killed in Negros Occidental road mishap

BACOLOD CITY––A father and his son died in a road accident at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, February 27, at the national highway in Barangay Tortosa, Manapla town in Negros Occidental.

Killed were Francis Pangantihon, 23, a criminology student and his father, Francisco Pangantihon, 51, of Pangarap Village, Barangay 1, Victorias City.

Francis was driving the motorcycle when it hit a wing van parked on the side of the road, said Maj. Jaynick Bermudez, chief of the Manapla Police Station.

The Pangantihons, who were on their way home, were pronounced dead on arrival at the Kaayong Lawas Foundation Inc. hospital in Victorias City.
