LUCENA CITY––A 25-year-old woman was wounded Sunday when her partner stabbed her in General Nakar town in Quezon province after she refused to have sex.

General Nakar police, in a report, said Caren Joy Garcia and Dexter Adornado, 25, were inside their house in Barangay Minahan around 9:30 p.m.

Adornado reportedly asked Garcia to have sex with him, but the woman refused, and a heated argument ensued between them.

The police said Garcia fought Adornado, prompting the latter to get a bladed weapon and stab the victim once on her back.

The suspect escaped after the incident and is now the subject of a police manhunt.

Garcia was taken to the Claro M. Recto Hospital in neighboring Infanta town to be treated.
