THE Department of Agriculture in Central Visayas (DA-7) will conduct a seminar on registration and licensing of livestock, poultry and their by-products in the morning of June 22 (not July 22 as reported earlier), Thursday, at the DA-7 conference area, KRC Building, Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
Joel Elumba, DA-7 Livestock Sector chief, said the seminar will discuss the proper handling and transport of animals, control of diseases during shipment, Animal Welfare Act, quarantine rules and regulations and other responsibilities of a handler and accredited carrier.
In the afternoon, a seminar on cattle raising will be held in the same venue. It will also tackle topics such as the selection of stocks, housing, disease prevention and feeding management.
