MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Luzon will have cloudy skies with rain showers on Sunday due to the easterlies or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean while parts of Mindanao are expected to have similar weather conditions due to the shear line or the tail end of a cold front, the state weather bureau reported Saturday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Aurora and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers caused by the easterlies while Caraga and the Davao region will have cloudy skies and rain.
Fair weather is expected for the rest of the country, said Pagasa.
The northeast monsoon, or the “amihan,” will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains in the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and the rest of Central Luzon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Pagasa raised a gale warning in the seaboards of Northern Luzon, the eastern seaboards of Central Luzon and Quezon and the eastern seaboards of the Bicol Region and the Visayas will experience rough to very rough sea conditions with waves reaching 2.8 meters to 4 meters in height.
