MANILA, Philippines — “You can run, but definitely, you cannot hide from the arm of the law.”

This was the warning issued by Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa on those responsible for the disappearance of at least 31 “sabungeros” as he also appealed to them on Thursday to release the cockfight enthusiasts.

Dela Rosa then said: “You can run, but definitely you cannot hide from the arm of the law. Mahuhuli’t-mahuhuli kayo.”

Dela Rosa’s panel is investigating the growing number of missing cockfight aficionados, which now stands at 31 after the Philippine National Police reported two more disappearances on Wednesday, February 23. with Jericho Zafra, trainee
