MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has designated the special voting sites for around 660 persons with disabilities (PWDs) and the elderly during the May 9 elections.

The sites are Hospicio de San Jose in Manila, Tahanang Walang Hagdanan in Cainta, Rizal, and National Vocational Rehabilitation Center (NVRC) in Quezon City.

In its Resolution No. 10761 dated Feb. 9, the poll body assigned three support staff to assist its 167 PWD and senior citizen registered voters in Hospicio de San Jose; two support staff for the 81 PWD and senior citizen voters in Tahanang Walang Hagdanan; and four support staff for the 420 PWD and senior citizen voters in NVRC.

Comelec designated satellite emergency accessible polling places for the first time in the 2019 midterm elections, namely Hospicio de San Jose and the Little Sister of the Poor in Bolinao, Pangasinan.
