MANILA, Philippines — Rain and cloudy skies will continue over several parts of the country on Thursday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
According to Pagasa weather specialist Robert Badrina in a weather report, the northeast monsoon, locally known as “amihan,” will continue to affect parts of Luzon bringing rain and overcast skies in the Cagayan Valley as well as light rain showers in the Ilocos Region and the Cordillera Administrative Region.
(There is a high chance of rains particularly in the eastern part of Luzon here in the Aurora, Quezon and Bicol regions due to the shear line.)
(In the rest of Luzon including Metro Manila we expect a relatively small chance of rain, except in the afternoon and evening where it is possible to have isolated rain, lightning and thunder.)
Eastern Visayas, meanwhile, will also continue to experience overcast skies and rain due to the shear line.
The rest of Visayas and the entire Mindanao on the other hand, will have slightly cloudy to cloudy skies with only isolated rain showers expected.
No storms or low pressure areas are also expected to enter the country’s area of responsibility until the weekend, said Badrina.
