MANILA, Philippines — The city of Muntinlupa on Wednesday announced the extension for the filing of business permit renewals until March 31, 2022, in favor of businesses affected by the pandemic.

The extension was approved by the City Council and Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi thru City Ordinance No. 2022-318, upon the request of the local Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO.)

“Per City Ordinance No. 2022-318, the deadline for both the assessment and payment of Business Permit Renewal is extended up to March 31, 2022. Renew your business permits now to avoid penalties,” the BPLO said in the statement.

According to the BPLO, the initiative aims to help taxpayers who “may not be able to immediately comply with the mandatory documents which are the basis for the prudent and correct imposable taxes” due to the pandemic.

The extension covers payment of all local taxes, fees, and other charges without penalty.

Business owners may also renew their business permits online through the city’s Business E-payment System (BESt) which can be accessed through their official website: www.muntinlupacity.gov.ph.
