SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — At least 78 more public schools in eight towns of this province resumed their in-person classes on Monday (Feb. 21) as part of the expanded pilot run of the program.
The province, which is now under the more lenient Alert Level 2, is qualified to commence in-person classes amid the steady decline of COVID-19 cases, according to the Department of Education (DepEd) in Central Luzon.
Aside from being an area with low COVID-19 risk, the selected schools underwent a safety assessment and validation, and secured permission from their respective local government units. Their students have also secured consent from their parents.
These requirements were part of the guidelines under the joint memorandum circular of DepEd and Department of Health.
