MANILA, Philippines — At least 16 former top government officials and business executives have also endorsed the presidential bid of Vice President Leni Robredo for her “outstanding leadership skills and unifying qualities” exemplified by her timely and innovative pandemic response plans.

“We deserve a president who is fearless, action-oriented, inclusive and decisive-leadership qualities that VP Leni has successfully demonstrated in the last six years despite the limited resources of her public office and undeserved open hostility from the present administration,” they added.

The 16 were led by former Senators Rodolfo Biazon, Ramon Magsaysay Jr., Sergio Osmeña III and Wigberto Tañada, and former executives of the Arroyo and Aquino administrations.

Also on Monday, nearly 150 former officials from the Department of Social Welfare and Development endorsed Robredo and her running mate Sen. Francis Pangilinan.
