MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga ––Policemen arrested five people, who allegedly yielded more than P3 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth), in two anti-narcotics operations last week, in Pampanga, a belated report from the Central Luzon police disclosed.
The regional police said in a statement Sunday, Feb. 20, that Johavier Samer, 18; Jeferson Alba, 20; Jelanour Arimbang, 18; and Roberto Acerden, 56, were arrested in a buy-bust operation at 8 p.m. in San Matias village in Guagua town.
The police allegedly confiscated from the suspects six sachets containing 240 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,632,000 and a weighing scale.
The police also recovered the marked peso bills used during the operation and impounded the car used by the suspects.
On the same night, police arrested during a buy-bust operation Alimar Ali, 31, at Santa Monica village in San Simon town.
Allegedly seized from Ali were five sachets containing 205 grams of shabu worth P1,394,000 in the street market and the marked peso bill used in the sting operation. The police also impounded the suspect’s motorcycle.
Central Luzon director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay said the suspects face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 for possession and selling of shabu.
