BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines — Three persons were killed while one was injured in an ambush in Barangay Palampas, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 20.
Those killed were identified as Andre Briones Fajardo, 18; Russel Fajardo Bucao, 40; and Rudy Capuyan De La Fuente, 51.
Injured was Renante Palabrica Chui, 27, who was rushed to the San Carlos City Hospital.
The four victims were onboard a white Mazda sedan when four unidentified men aboard a still unknown vehicle shot them.
“We are still conducting an investigation to identify the perpetrators and the motive behind the killings,” Lt. Col. Jesus Mesahon Jr., San Carlos City police chief, said.
“We are looking for witnesses because the incident happened in a remote area where there are no houses,” he added.
