SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—A total of 200 children were inoculated against COVID-19 during the launch of the pediatric vaccination for the 5-11 age group in this province, a local health official said Wednesday (Feb. 16).
Among them were 20 Aeta kids from a remote community in Botolan town, said Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director.
The children, who were treated to party-themed activities, took home balloons, toys, candies, and food packs after getting their shots.
In the capital town of Iba, the provincial government simultaneously held an inaugural jab for the same age group in Balin Sambali Bldg. Zone V1, benefiting 180 other kids.
The province targets to vaccinate 68,000 children within the said age group.
