3 drug suspects fall in Rizal busts; yield P143k meth

LUCENA CITY – Police busted three drug suspects and seized P143,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a series of operations Wednesday in Binangonan town and Antipolo City in Rizal province.

The Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police reported that anti-narcotics agents collared Eduardo de Castro in a buy-bust operation at 2:48 a.m. in Barangay Calumpang in Binangonan.

Seized were four plastic sachets of shabu worth P102,000 in the street market.

In a follow-up operation in the same village, police nabbed at 4:45 a.m. Joselito Tayag after he sold a pack of shabu to an undercover cop. The suspect yielded three sachets of shabu worth P13,600.

In Antipolo City, Romelyn Vargas was arrested in another buy-bust operation in Barangay San Jose at 3:18 a.m.

The police caught the suspect carrying six sachets of shabu worth P27,400 in the street market.

The suspects were all under police custody and faced charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
