The 1,961 cases posted on Feb. 7, was a 13.05% decline from the 2,217 active cases posted the day before and a 12.5% decrease from the 2,208 total active cases posted on Feb. 5.

Health officials said they were hoping that the downward trend would continue so that the city — still currently under Alert Level 3  — would finally be placed under a lower alert level status so that it could eventually ease travel restrictions.
