PNP acquires P300,000 worth of oxygen equipment

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday received medical and oxygen equipment worth P300,000, which will be distributed to the wards of the PNP General Hospital (PNPGH).

The said equipment was donated by the Great Heart Charity Association in cooperation with MAIMAI Info Tech, Inc., said the PNP in a statement.

“We are very grateful to our stakeholders for their continuing support to the PNP, especially on our medical and health needs. The donation is indeed a great help to PNPGH especially in combating the COVID-19,”  PNP chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos said during the turnover ceremony of the equipment.

Among the donated equipment were 10 XNUO M9 Oxygen Concentrators amounting to exactly P306,188.80.

The oxygen concentrators, according to Carlos, will enhance the technological advancement of the health service offered by the PNPGH especially amid COVID-19.

It was then distributed to the different wards and sections of PNPGH.

As of Feb. 14, the PNP currently has 258 active cases of COVID-19 in a total of 48,739 confirmed infections and 128 deaths.
