PH to honor anti-coronavirus vaccination certificates from Malaysia, Ireland

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines will start recognizing COVID-19 vaccination certificates from two more nations, namely Malaysia and Ireland, Malacañang announced Monday.

Cabinet Secretary and acting presidential spokesman Karlo Nograles said the  Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) approved this based on the Department of Foreign Affairs recommendation.

The move is for the purposes of arrival quarantine protocols and mobility, he also said.

The Bureau of Quarantine, Department of Transportation, and Bureau of Immigration were directed to accept such certificates from Malaysia and Ireland as proof of a traveler’s COVID-19 vaccination.

The IATF has earlier approved the country’s recognition of national COVID-19 vaccination certificates of Slovenia, Bahrain, Qatar, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Brazil, Israel, South Korea, and Timor Leste.
