MANILA, Philippines — There is a “low chance” of tropical cyclones entering the Philippines this week, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said on Sunday that there would be a slim chance that the country would experience new tropical cyclones for the whole week.
In its typhoon advisory posted on its website, Pagasa said there was no tropical cyclone monitored outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
Pagasa said Metro Manila would experience generally fair weather in the next three days aside from isolated light rain due to the northeast monsoon.
The state weather bureau said the Visayas and Mindanao would also have generally fair weather in the next three days with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
Estareja said temperature in Metro Manila would range from 23ºC to 32ºC while the temperature in Baguio City could go as low as 13ºC early in the morning.
Estareja said no gale warning was raised over the country’s seaboards.
