Shear line to bring rain over eastern PH, says Pagasa

The shear line east of the country is expected to bring cloud clusters over the eastern part of the country, causing isolated rains in several provinces over the weekend according to the state weather bureau.

MANILA, Philippines — The shear line east of the country is expected to bring cloud clusters over the eastern part of the country, causing isolated rains in several provinces over the weekend according to the state weather bureau.

Reports from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Friday night showed that cloudy skies are expected in the entire Visayas; Surigao del Norte and Dinagat Islands in Mindanao; Quezon, Romblon, Bicol Region, Marinduque and Oriental Mindoro in Luzon.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon or amihan can still be felt over a huge part of Luzon, which will bring partly cloudy skies and colder weather especially over Cagayan Valley and Aurora.

The rest of the country would have generally fair weather, as no tropical cyclone or low pressure area is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility.

For Saturday’s forecast, temperatures over Tuguegarao and Legazpi would slightly be lower at just 21 to 28 degrees Celsius and and 25 to 29 degrees, respectively; while Metro Manila would have something around 24 to 31 degrees, Laoag with 20 to 31 degrees, Tagaytay with 22 to 29 degrees, and Puerto Princesa at 26 to 31 degrees.

Most of Visayas would be cloudy as Tacloban may have temperatures of 24 to 29 degrees Celsius, Cebu with 25 to 28 degrees, and Iloilo with 26 to 29 degrees.  For Mindanao, the weather would be better as Cagayan de Oro may register around 24 to 31 degrees, Zamboanga with 25 to 32 degrees, and Davao with 24 to 32 degrees.

No gale warning has been raised as of now, as sea conditions in any part of the country’s waters would not go rough.
