Man dies after being hit by wayward truck in Baguio
BAGUIO CITY — A truck driver died after he was hit by another truck along Bokawkan Road in this city on Thursday (Feb. 10), police said.
The fatality was identified as Henry Payang, 38, from Tadian town, Mountain Province.

Elmer Langgoy, 44, told investigators that the brakes on his truck malfunctioned while he was negotiating the descending portion of the road.
Langgoy said he tried to avoid the victim, who was about to board his vehicle, but the latter had already lost control of the truck before hitting Payang, who died on the spot.
Police said Langgoy was detained and will be charged with homicide and reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property.
