SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — At least 80 COVID-19 patients here have recovered from the viral disease, bringing down to two the active cases among its residents and workers, local data showed on Thursday, Feb. 10.
The new recoveries raised to 812 the total number of patients here who have been cleared of COVID-19 out of 829 confirmed infections since the pandemic struck in 2020.
But data also showed that two more COVID-19 cases were added to the tally on the same day.
The new COVID-19 patients are a 41-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man, both employees of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).
In an advisory, SBMA said both patients, who are the remaining active cases here, did not manifest symptoms and are undergoing home quarantine.
The COVID-19 death toll among free port residents and workers stood at 12 with no new fatalities in recent days.
