2 Cafgu, 3 civilians hurt in Camarines Sur blast
LEGAZPI CITY – Two members of the Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (Cafgu) of the Philippine Army and three civilians were wounded during an explosion Thursday in Libmanan town, Camarines Sur province.
Lt. Col. Ariel Neri, Libmanan police chief, said that when Cafgu members John Lee Basangit and Joseph De Lima were about to fetch water at a well near their detachment, an improvised explosive device exploded around 7 a.m. in Barangay Bagamelon.
Neri said three unnamed civilians on a motorcycle were also wounded.
The victims, who suffered from shrapnel wounds, were brought to a hospital in Naga City for treatment.
Neri said the investigation was ongoing to identify the suspects behind the incident. INQ
