MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—The health unit of the Tarlac Police Provincial Office on Wednesday kicked off its campaign to administer COVID-19 booster shots to police officers and their dependents in the province.
Col. Erwin Sanque, acting Tarlac police director, said at least 90 uniformed personnel and 48 kin of policemen assigned in the province participated in the launching of the activity.
The booster shots were administered at the covered court inside the provincial police headquarters in Tarlac City.
Sanque said the campaign aims to further strengthen the immunity of fully vaccinated police officers in the province against the viral disease.
“With the booster shots, death and the need for hospitalization will be significantly minimized,” he added.
Local governments in Tarlac have started administering COVID-19 booster shots to residents, including policemen assigned in their respective localities.
