MANILA, Philippines — Overcast skies and rain will continue over Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Davao Regions on Thursday as well as Northern Luzon, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Bahagya po ulit lalakas ang ating amihan kung saan posible po itong makaapekto sa buong bahagi ng Northern Luzon, sa bahagi ng Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, pati na rin sa Cagayan Valley,” said Pagasa weather specialist Ana Clauren.
(The northeast monsoon is forecast to slightly gain strength possibly affecting the entire part of Northern Luzon, parts of the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, as well as the Cagayan Valley.)
“May inaasahan tayong partly cloudy to cloudy skies at kung minsan may mga isolated light rains tayo na inaasahan dala ng northeast monsoon,” she added.
(Expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies and sometimes isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.)
Meanwhile, relatively stronger rains will prevail over Eastern Visayas and parts of Mindanao.
“Inaasahan natin na makakaranas ng mauulap na kalangitan may mga kalat kalat na mahihina hanggang sa katamtaman, at kung minsan ay malakas na bugso ng pagulan sa may Eastern Visayas, Caraga pati na rin sa Davao Region,” said Clauren.
(Expect to experience cloudy skies with scattered weak to moderate, and sometimes heavy gusts of rain in Eastern Visayas, Caraga as well as in the Davao Region.)
The rest of the country, on the other hand, will experience generally fair weather conditions with chances of short-lived rain showers in the afternoon and evening due to localized thunderstorms.
No storms or low pressure area are also forecast to enter the country’s area of responsibility in the next two to three days.
Meanwhile, the majority of Visayas and Mindanao will experience overcast skies and rain due to the easterlies, except the western section of both Visayas and Mindanao where generally fair weather conditions are expected to prevail.

- Metro Manila: 23 to 32 degrees Celsius
- Baguio City: 15 to 23 degrees Celsius
- Laoag City: 21 to 31 degrees Celsius
- Tuguegarao: 22 to 31 degrees Celsius
- Legazpi City: 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
- Puerto Princesa City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
- Tagaytay: 21 to 30 degrees Celsius
- Kalayaan Islands: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
- Iloilo City: 24 to 31 degrees Celsius
- Cebu: 25 to 30 degrees Celsius
- Tacloban City: 25 to 30 degrees Celsius
- Cagayan De Oro City: 24 to 29 degrees Celsius
- Zamboanga City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
- Davao City: 24 to 30 degrees Celsius
Meanwhile no gale warning is raised but moderate to rough seas are expected in the country’s surrounding seaboards and in-land seas.
