MANILA, Philippines — Among the regions in the country, only Soccsksargen remains under the high-risk classification for COVID-19, the Department of Health (DOH) said Wednesday.
“Nationally, we are at moderate risk case classification with all regions at low to moderate risk, except for Region 12 which is at high risk,” the DOH said in its report.
The DOH said that based on two-week growth rates, all regions reported fewer cases on January 27 to February 9 than on January 13 to 26, except for Region 12 which had 56 percent more cases.
Earlier, the agency said that aside from Soccsksargen, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and Davao region were at high risk.
Meanwhile, total bed and intensive care utilization rates in all regions are currently at low to moderate risk.
“The Department of Health will continue to monitor these trends and provide appropriate guidance to our local government units. Likewise, we call on the public to continue practicing our minimum public health standards and to get vaccinated against COVID-19,” the DOH added.
