Minor nabbed for ‘stealing’ P5M from construction firm in Bulacan

CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan – A 17-year-old boy from the City of Meycauayan was arrested after he allegedly stole P5 million in cash from a construction company.

In a belated report Wednesday, Feb. 9, Col. Rommel Ochave, Bulacan police director, said around 8 p.m. on Feb. 6, the suspect broke into the office of Sinian International Corp. in Barangay Pantoc.

Investigators said the boy entered the company’s office through the ceiling after destroying a cemented fence and a PVC pipe.

The suspect then destroyed the office vault and took away the cash.

Police said one of the security cameras in the area caught the robbery, and a bystander identified the suspect, who was arrested after a manhunt operation.

In the City of Malolos, a 14-year-old boy was arrested Monday after stealing P5,000 in cash from his neighbor.

The suspect and his four companions entered the victim’s house through the back door and took away the money, power tools, jewelry, and other personal belongings.

Police said the companions of the minor suspect escaped.
