MANILA, Philippines — Presidential candidate Senator Panfilo Lacson and his vice presidential running mate, Senate President Vicente Sotto III, are banking on their track record and a “very disciplined” campaign to set themselves apart from other candidates.

“We will run a very disciplined campaign…dun kami magsta-stand out. Nakita naman natin ‘pag nag-caravan gulo-gulo, ‘di na natin mabilang kung ilan yung nahawa doon,” Lacson told reporters ahead of their proclamation rally later in the afternoon.

This, when asked how they plan to stand out from their election rivals.

For his part, Sotto pointed to his and Lacson’s track records in public service, which spans a combined total of 83 years.

“Track record. Kumpara natin mga nagawa namin doon sa ibang kumakandidato, tignan ninyo sino mag-stand out,” the Senate president said.

(Compare our track records with that of the other candidates running for the elections, let’s see who will stand out.)
