Cops bust armed drug suspect in Cavite

LUCENA CITY––Police arrested an armed drug suspect in a sting operation Sunday in Bacoor City in Cavite.

The Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police said a report Monday that anti-illegal drug operatives collared Owen Andrei Viray in a buy-bust operation around 9:45 p.m. in Barangay Molino 1.

Authorities seized five plastic sachets of shabu (crystal meth) weighing eight grams worth P54,000 in the street market.

The police found the suspect carrying a caliber .45 gun loaded with two bullets.

The suspect was jailed and faced criminal charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, gun laws, and election gun ban.
