Most parts of PH to have fair Sunday weather — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country will have fair weather on Sunday, the state weather bureau reported on Saturday.

Raymond Ordinario, weather specialist of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), said most parts of Luzon and the entire Visayas and Mindanao will experience fair weather.

This, after a low pressure area — whose through brought rain over parts of the country — has completely dissolved, said Ordinario.

However, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon, will still experience cloudy skies only with light rain due to the northeast monsoon, or the “amihan.”

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain due to the northeast monsoon.

Visayas and Mindanao will likewise experience fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to easterlies or the warm winds from the Pacific Ocean.

Meanwhile, Pagasa raised gale warnings over the seaboards of Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Cagayan and the northern coast of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan and the Kalayaan Islands due to the northeast monsoon. These areas will experience rough to very rough seas with waves reaching 2.8 to 4.5 meters.
