LEGAZPI CITY – Anti-narcotics operatives arrested two drug personalities and seized P340,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in Balud town in Masbate on Saturday morning.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Masbate said in a report that Jyrel Dela Cruz and his live-in partner Delia Banyez were arrested in Barangay (village) Tunga at around 6:40 a.m.
Authorities recovered 50 grams of shabu, P500 marked money, a cloth bag containing five blasting caps and a plastic bag containing five kilograms of suspected ammonium nitrate, a component in making explosives.
PDEA Masbate said Dela Cruz was a drug surrenderer during the height of the anti-illegal drugs campaign of the government.
