Security guard nabbed in Calapan City drug buy-bust
CITY OF CALAPAN – The City Drugs Enforcement Team, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, arrested an alleged drug pusher during a buy-bust operation Friday in this city.
The Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) police office said Romnic Mandia, 25, a security guard, was arrested at 7:05 a.m. after selling a sachet of “shabu” (crystal meth) to a poseur-buyer for P500 in Barangay Guinobatan.
Also seized were two sachets of alleged shabu weighing 0.45 gram valued at P3,060 and the P500 marked money.
Mandia, a resident of Barangay Sta. Maria, Naujan, is under police custody and will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Brig. Gen. Sidney Hernia, regional police director, asked all unit commanders to “unceasingly launch intensified anti-illegal drugs operations for us to realize our dream of a drug-cleared, if not a drug-free, region.”
