MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang on Friday wished this year’s bar takers good luck, saying they should give it their “best shot.”
“We wish good luck and godspeed to the more than 11,000 barristers taking the bar exams being held today and on Sunday February 6,” acting presidential spokesman Karlo Nograles said in a Palace briefing.
“Give it your best shot and make your family, your alma mater, and your community proud. This is indeed your moment,” he added.
Nograles also commended the Supreme Court, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, the local government units, and school authorities, among others, in making this year’s bar examinations “possible.”
This is the first bar exam held since the COVID-19 pandemic started in the Philippines.
A number of roads in Manila City were closed for the bar exams.
The high court also shortened the exams to two days — Feb. 4 and Feb. 6.
The SC earlier postponed the bar exams supposedly set in November last year to assure the safety of all the bar applicants and personnel amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
