80 more Olongapo patients recover from COVID-19
OLONGAPO CITY — At least 80 more patients have recovered from COVID-19, data from the local task force showed on Thursday, Feb. 3.
The latest recoveries, which are among the city’s highest tally, brought the number of active COVID-19 cases to 237.
Last month, the city registered close to 700 active COVID-19 cases after the holidays.
Data also showed that 11 COVID-19 patients were added Thursday to the city’s tally. The patients are between 26 to 82 years old.
A 60-year-old man also died of COVID-19 complications and was the city’s latest fatality related to the disease. Olongapo’s COVID-19 death toll now stood at 334.
Article continues after this advertisementSince the pandemic struck in 2020, the city registered 6,875 COVID-19 cases with 6,304 recoveries.
According to the independent research group OCTA, the COVID-19 risk level in the city has been lowered to moderate from high due to the decreasing number of new infections.
